Le Luisin

Wild tour in Switzerland’s remote alpine playground

Hiking Start: Les Marecottes, 1086m ASL

Hiking: 1673Hm, 4-5h

Takeoff Point: Col de Luisin, 2400m ASL (descending from Luisin summit 2786 North through the rocky ridge)

Takeoff Type: Grass

Takeoff Direction: S / SE

Landing Options: Les Marecottes farmers field / Emaney Alpage (at 1856m - easier landing but then one need to hike 1h back to the start of the route)

Advantages: The tour can be shortened substantially through La Creusaz cable car. Wild area with the Salanfe lake at the back

Disadvantages: Relatively tight landing spot in Les Marecottes. Rocky terrain descending from Luisin summit to the takeoff (climbing I-II). Alternative option to avoid the rock downclimb is to hike through Emaney Alpage and avoid the summit (hiking 1433Hm)

Caution: Descending through the rocky ridge from the summit to the Col (climbing I-II) (can be avoided by hiking through Emaney Alpage)
